is intended to assist in the prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) by stimulating blood flow in the lower extremities through sequential compressions of the areas being treated. The system is recommended for use by those who are expecting to remain in stationary positions for periods of time greater than 4 hours. The Freedom Flight System is also designed for use by patients in:
•diminishing post-operative pain and swelling
•reduction in overall wound healing time
•enhancement of blood circulation
•reduction of edema in the lower extremities
•assisting in the treatment of venous stasis ulcers
•assisting in the treatment of stasis dermatitis
•assisting in the treatment of arterial and diabetic leg ulcers
•assisting in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency

This MicrobeCare treatment is based on a unique antimicrobial technology which is odorless, colorless, non-leaching, long-lasting and effectively controls bacteria, fungi, algae and yeast.
Medical Minds have always been interested in offering patients freedom with medical equipment. We have been a long time sponsor of the Michigan Tech Wireless enterprise program, developing many innovations in EKG, and EEG wireless devices.
Patients that lack stability need special attention. Medical Minds is building unique devices to help protect them from injuries.
The healthcare industry is challenged with providing the best possible care for their patients and a safe environment for health care workers. Micro-organisms are the most prevalent and potent pollutants in the indoor environment and their role as causers and aggravators of disease conditions are well documented.
Healthcare facilities, by the very nature of their operation, expose patients and staff to microbial contamination that can lead to infectious disease. Stethoscopes, flooring, doorknobs, curtains, cabinets and the "forgotten" surfaces can potentially transfer contaminating organisms from surface to surface and person to person. Healthcare associated infections occur to approximately one in ten patients resulting in higher treatment costs and increased potential for litigation. Healthcare associated infections (HAI) is among the top ten causes of death in the United States. HAI is estimated to result in as many as 98,000 deaths each year at an annual cost of up to $29 billion.
This MicrobeCare™ coating is based on a unique antimicrobial technology which is odorless, colorless, non-leaching, long-lasting and effectively controls bacteria, fungi, algae and yeast. Because it does not dissipate, it retains its full antimicrobial strength for the life of the surface to which it is applied. It controls mircro-organisms, slows the degredation of products, and reduces odors and stains.
